Discussion: Naruto getting close to DBZ Status

His fight with the Kyuubi reminded me of a DBZ fight. His Huge Rasengan reminded me of a spirit bomb. What do you guys think?

You cant compare DBZ fight with Naruto fight
One DBZ fights usually lasts 50 episodes

definetely, especially the kyuubi as a status in which you have more power. the 8-tails vs. kisame fight was more like dbz vs. bleach than naruto vs. naruto. the one just goes ssj 1, 2, 3, ... and the other one fuses with his sword in order to change his physical aspects.

yea and goku going from super saiyan to super saiyan 2 takes like 2 or 3 episodes of just screaming and hair growing etc

but touketsu i really do understand where you're coming from, the naruto characters are getting seriously over powered

I dunno DBZ and naruto are sorta similar but only recently has it reached a time where I would say its almost overpowered. But since Kishi loves to see the previous generation surpass the one that came before so really the only way was to make them overpowered compared to the rest of the narutoverse. But if you look at the bright side of it there are going to be some epic fights with ninja's this strong and Sasuke vs Naruto will be nothing short of epic at their current levels even.

Your thread's title is kind off miss leading. I thought you meant Naruto is getting close, like in legendary status like dragon ball.

Anyway Kishimoto has always stated that his biggest inspiration is dragon ball thats all. Naruto and Dragon Ball is no way near close to each other, in anyway.

Well if you think about it, in a way yes. It is, but only because the EVERY guy in Naruto, including the Jyuubi and the Sage of the Six Paths are MUCH weaker than the guys in dragonballz. No matter how strong the Sage is, I just can't see anybody in the Narutoverse blowing up any planets. Though this is okay, because there isn't a single guy in Naruto that can blow up any planets. I'd say the Kyuubi could probably take out Goku from when he fought Raditz, but that wasn't planet blowing status.

I mean, Piccolo's dad (Daimyo, who Goku fought as a kid) in Dragonball was able to wipe out a city with ease. An attack of similar power cut some of Nagato's life.

You're giving to much credit to Ino.

All Naruto has to do is yell to the top of his lungs and pray that the end result doesn't explode from his ass and destroy half of Konoha.
