sasuke's reserves are above average, and both of their jutsu consume mass amounts of chakra, but naruto has more so the effect appears lessened but its not.

you forget that susano'o is also the ultimate offense one hit from the sword of (however the hell you spell it) and your done for.

are you saying who do we think will win now that they both have new techniques or just making a comparison?

before sasuke got susano'o and abused amaterasu i'd have probably said that naruto had the better chances, but at the moment i dont see many possibilities for naruto to win. until now nothing was able to break susano'o and just one person evaded amaterasu, who is probably the fastest person alive except madara.
sasuke showed the ability to surpress the kyuubi in an instant, so it isnt even clear weather naruto is able to use him against sasuke, and rasenshuriken is limited to two usages. everything else will bring him in range for susano'os sword, without being able to really hurt sasuke.

agreed, naruto is perfectly countered by susano'o. maybe if he learns to summon the fox like kirabi does and the fox can do some just out of this world type stuff than maybe, but not likely.

the only way naruto is going to win is if he hits sasuke with a direct talk-no-jutsu

Seeing as how his air type element basances out sasukes fire and lightning type elements, it seems likely that the next element he'll gain would be water. There have been some wild theories out there about how naruto has an ice kekkai genkai. It would definatly be an interesting twist to the story, but it seems unlikely. I'm not really sure who would win if there was an all out fight between sasuke and naruto

Naruto's fox cloak is more than enough to break thruw Sasuke's susanoo

We know that Sasuke's Susano'o has A sword, Rather its Totsukas Sword or not is a different story. Sasuke repressed the Kyuubis chakra without Naruto being in tailed form, we have not seen him supress it in tailed form, plus if naruto was 6+ tails Sasuke would more then likely not have time to supress it,Naruto can use 2 rasenshuriken per sage mode he can make up to 2 clones making it a max of 6 rasenshurikens

Not to mention the cloak burns anyone who gets close to it. And it would also depend on if naru is willing to go all the way right now he wants to save sasuke. I also think people might be underestimating sage mode. Naru is the only one that we know of to have obtained perfect sage mode

kirin couldnt destroy it finally, why should fox cloak be able to? and as i already said, it isnt even sure weather naruto can use the fox against sasuke. the 6-tails-transformation was the result of naruto's pure anger on pain for "killing" one person protecting him, that situation was unique. and i dont see narutos 6-tails attacks break susano'o, so with it sasuke has the time to surpress kyuubi.

point two is true

your first point actually grants some good discussion points. itachi asks if naruto iwll continue to follow after sasuke and not kill him and blah blah which leads to think it is something to suppress sasuke's power but at the same time madara is controlling sasuke so maybe it is against him.

First off, I am LOVING this conversation! ok, now for my 2 cents - I don't remember about lightening but it seems to me lightening is like wind in that it's mainly a close combat element. both sasuke and naruto have mastered their elements enough to fashion long ranged attacks (wind trumps lightening). sasuke naturally has an affinity for fire (fire trumps wind). what is yet to be seen is what naruto's second element is, although i think it's safe to say it's water... otherwise the anime wouldn't just be inaccurate, it would be wrong, which would screw up any continuity between the anime and the manga. the anime HAS NOT stated the naruto's second element is water but he did spend 2 or 3 eps mastering a combo attack with water and his mom is from the whirlpool nation (water.. not that that would indicate water affinity, I'm just saying)... but other then that i got nothin. anyway, IF he has water then that would trump fire which would be awful convenient when fighting fire (water trumps fire). i believe when it comes to the elements they will be evenly match. sasuske's lightning/fire vs naruto's wind/water. speed wise i think sasuke and his sharingan can counter sage mode and visa versa. what it comes down to is ameratsu and susanoo and the way i see it naruto has no counter YET for these moves. i haven't seen naruto do any training since sasuke attacked the hokage meeting. maybe naruto still has some tricks up his sleeve? i think the fox will come into play in a big way to counter sasuke's ubber techniques. naruto will almost be defeated but the fox will save his ares. but at the end of the fight sasuke will be defeated because he runs out of chakra and passes out. naruto has endless chakra as long as he keeps shadow clones in reserve gathering natural energy.
