I just want to note that there IS a difference between some of the sorts of things said.
Verbal Abuse and trash talking are TWO completely different things.

Although they MAY be close to the same and there may be a slim line between the two, One is to increse competition, the other is to shoot down someone or a group of people. [Opression]

I don't think both of these should be moderated to the same extent.
Verbal abuse should have less of a tolerence.
Where IF trash talking is MODERATED by people, that shouldn't be infracted at all. However extensive Trash talking is then Verbal Abuse then it goes without saying that, that too should be not tolerable.

Perhaps infractions AREN'T doing the trick, I understand infractors are doing this to "CREATE" jobs for mods however, I know on a bunch of other forms this is harrassment and can be treated in that mannor. INTENTIONALLY creating chaos can lead to a small group of people doing it which in turn translates that it is ok to take mods lightly to the rest.

I also don't think its clear enough or posted anywhere, WHAT exactly the effects of disobaying the rules are. I mean yes I see a lot of people being infracted as they cockily post them, but yet again I haven't seen a post or a thread about "3 infractions = so and so" sorts of posts. Possibly a clarification is needed, and possibly a more thurough set of rules, what IS tolerable but frowned apon and what IS NOT tolerable.

Also in regards to the thread, It's up to the people of NB to FIND the rules being broke, it's up to the mods to deal with these reports. If you don't see something you think is offencive or against the rules, report it.

Regarding the rules update I just made: Something like what you should expect when breaking RP rules, what you should expect when breaking normal rules ect.

As for RP I think possibly a forum wide wikia is in order? This could possibly clear up arguements. If anything is disagreed on they can type it in on wikia and POSSIBLY find the answer instantly.

For example I've seen a discussion on how Sharingan Users are effected by Genjutsu, it's noted that it doen't work at all and others say it works and there are theorys to this. I think almost everyone is tired of a 2 post fight and 4 pages of argueing that goes along with it. [From what I've heard and talked to people and seen]

If infractions/warnings didn't work we wouldn't be getting pm's of how they ‘didn't do anything wrong' and they want it ‘removed'.

Hmm i don’t get the part where you say ‘this is harassment’ what exactly are you referring to?

As for specifying the effects of disobeying the rules; if the admins had wanted to place it along the rules they would of done so.

The rules were updated recently. I think they are clear enough and straight to the point. Generally; it's common sense on what is right to do and what is not.

Hmm the idea of a wikia for the rp sounds good - have you suggested this to Rei or any of the rp mods?

@ the last paragraph: Lol, That is what a discussion is. If people are getting annoyed let them report it. We’ll look at it and act accordingly.

We are not being lenient towards spammers and flamers. We infract/warn/ban when we see a post/thread that breaks any of the forum rules. But the majority of these posts you talk about do not get reported and we mods can't be watching every single post in every single thread in every single section. It's impossible. Don't forget, we do have lives outside Nb - and we can't be watching Nb 24/7.

If you do happen to see a duplicate thread - report it or contact a moderator by vm/pm we'll deal with it.

Also, we're always open to suggestions -that's why this section was created- if you get an idea or find something for anything on the forum that you'll think will benefit the community - tell us, we want to know.

lol typed it wrong. Ty for correcting. And no I didn't recommend rp wikia. I understand that it is a discussion, however discussions get out of hand its 2 sides of 2 different out looks. They're both bias'd opinions and USUALLY are on the brink of life and death. I honestly haven't seen a RP recently that didn't end in an arguement.

The discussion gets to the point of the Catholics and the Muslems in the 1400's. xD It's like someones going to get shot or shanked. :S

Even if they report something like this information CAN be bais'd on these sorts of things. I would suggest doing something like a wikia where only Mod's can change. [This way we can see what they changed last what they changed and the time they changed it.]

Something along the lines of revisions and ect. If needed I can do an example; it would just cut down on confusion. It'd basically be an information data base where if someone had a problem they could look there to get INSTANT help to continue posting and RPing without creating an arguement

I understand that infractions may be there to detur bad behaviour but i'm not sure a lot of newer people understand exactly what an infraction is. They understand that it is a negative on your profile, and how/why they get them, however I think it lacks the actual 3 strikes your out punishment. If you know what I mean. Yes its posting in the wrong section or doing specific things however what sorts of things happen if you get enough infactions? and what are these sorts of things. Its just basics I'd like to see actually cleared up instead of "You'll get infracted if you do this."

Idk obveously they're not strict enough if people enjoy getting them and have got them enough to make a game out of it.. :/

Anyway NB is k. for me as long as am not bored and ppl r nice to me. I don't mind mods, they're doing their job as they r suppose to. I don't get why ppl complain so much.

Just because people are nice to you doesn't mean that others aren't discriminated on this site for being new here, or for not knowing a few RP basics. Ect.

I know this isn't 100% relevent but harrassment of mods even if its just playing around isn't really acceptable anywhere else so why would it be here? If people enjoy breaking the rules and spamming why should they be forgiven just because they're new here. I've seen a few newer people banned on here for things that they just see senior members do, why should new people be banned and senior members just get off with a warning?

I haven't been on here in a while to see if things have calmed down in the RP section however the way they were last week was pretty bad. Theres a fine line between competitive trash talk and harassment. xD

Its not that were complaining, were just having a discussion on how to improve the site. I don't think anyone here would try to claim that the site is perfect how it is, no site is. I just noticed one imperfection what was causing issues and wanted to start a discussion on how to correct it. Starting a discussion is the first step towards improvement.

yeah, well am not in to rp-ing so i don't know. It's just that i don't see that ppl break rules that often but still they do. Even after infractions they do it again.

Yes and what is the point of infacting if they're just going to do it again? Thus it the repeat offenders should just get banned or posts limited idk. Just something that's a tad harsher if you continuously get infractions. [This is probably already done.]
