How Naruto is doing the Sage mode.

Now, i know everyone has their own say about this and i have read number of theories. How he does Sage mode outside frog mountain was not revealed yet. But, we know some things :

-The water/oil can be taken from the well ( but it losses its potency after sometime - correct me if im wrong.) to help reach Sage mode

- Kage bunshin (most popular theory) is left in the frog mountain to collect natural chakra. Even i believe this is the case. But, before Naruto uses Kage bunshin to collect information and to transfer knowledge (wind training and fight with kakuzu, etc.). It was not particularly said that he can let chakra flow from a clone to himself or vice versa.

- Sage mode has a time limit. He might have reached Sage mode in frog mountain and was summoned to Konoha along with the frogs and natural chakra has not ran out yet ( maybe we'll see naruto without Sage next issue )

Because he's Naruto.. he can do anything apart from fail jutsu's such as any sasuke uses.

imo naruto has a set amount of sage/normal chakra. jiriya was able to draw more in as the fight went on due to ma and pa. but naruto is not able to do that right now. so once we gets low he will release a kage bunshin and receive a bunch more chakra

To BigJutsu : Yes, the 9-tails seems not to allow "fusion" between naruto and yoda toad. My point is how can a bunshin from myobokuzan transfer natural chakra to naruto? A special seal maybe?

i like second theory about kage bunshin and i was surprised to c him appear in sage mode in the begining because i dint think he figured the problem out..?

I think naruto did not manage to perfect the art of gatherin' natural energy. He probably found a way to do it using kage bunshin. Only problem is that Naruto cant substain the form (Sage mode) he is in. Because he cant gather up energy while movin'
So when the time runs out, he changes back to normale form. And that will probably happen during the fight with pain. Givin' pain the oppurtunity to make his excape.
If only Naruto had more time to figure out a way to constantly get natural energy DAMN it

You don't need to be on the mountain to do Sage Mode, and you don't need the oil.

The Natural Energy is all around everything, everywhere.

It never said you need to be on Myozobukan mountain (or however you spell it) to do Sage Mode.

Heck, Jiraiya did it in the Rain Village.

Right on. You don't need to be in the frog mountain to do Sage mode but you have to remember that naruto was summoned in the village directly from myobokuzan. So most probably, there isn't a Bunshin around Konoha hiding and gathering natural energy for him. And it is not proven yet that a clone can gather natural energy for him. That phrase " looking right and left at the same time" or something like that might just serve to confuse us. You know Kishi like surprises.

my point is that whatever a kage bunshin experiences(learning, fatigue) and in this case gathered natural energy, the real naruto receives it.

That's only when the bunshin is released, it's not continuous. Which brings up my theory. We know that to do sage mode you have to be perfectly still, then you can use sage mode for a short period of time before you have to be perfectly still again to re-activate sage mode. This is what pa-toad was meaning when he said it's like looking in two directions at once. My theory is that Naruto is smart enough now that he figured out he can enter sage mode, create several bunshin and fight in sage mode. While fighting have at least one bunshin stay back being perfectly still just before time is up and collecting natural energy. The bunshin enters sage mode, then releases himself and it restores Naruto and the remaining bunshin with natural chakra. Then another bunshin can take that ones place and Naruto can create more bunshin to replace the one that left the battle field. This would, in effect, create a never ending cycle of a bunshin constantly being still, collecting natural energy and restoring Naruto's reserve while he focuses on the battle at hand.
